Wife bought a Doblo Active 1.9jtd in April, came with an annoying clonk at the rear on bumps. Finally got round to taking it back to dealer - quick run round the block and it's booked in for new rear shocks. :)
Only question is - what idiot road tested it for PDI? (n) Probably roared up the road and back, when, as I can recall from my days as a road tester, you need to potter over bumpy bits as well.

Funny you should say that!! The car landed in the UK on the day we went on holiday. Two weeks and Two days later there was a panic because the saleman was also on holiday and had forgotten to hand the job over. It was PDI's the day we took delivery - minus the alarm which they didn't have time to do.
All was well though, because a snotty letter to the Manageing Director won the wife a bunch of flowers and a free 1st service - which I reckon is about £250? :D

Yep and unfortunally it's the workshop (technicians) that get the blame for this normally which is unfair really.A salesman thinks his job is done once he has your signature & seems to forget its his job to arrange PDI,valetting, completion of all car documents, fueling etc......aswell as show you the cars basic operation.Did he tell you what side the fuel filler cap was on

First service is £80-110 but hey....money in your pocket (y)

Yep!! Remember it well - I used to run a Service Reception and got all the flak for the things that the Sales people used to pass on, plus the 'OK, John will have a look at that for you now!'

Just got the car back - wife says the noise has gone - I'll road test later - AND it got a wash - saves me a job!!

Nice thought, but they didn't hoover the inside,oh, and my jeep is FILTHY!!

And by the way - the clonk hasn't gone - problem with the CBA method of diagnosis (Can't Be Arsed, so I'll change something to look efficient!!) :D
