Hi all,

I have a Doblo Cargo 1.3 Multijet fitted with the 5" Multi Function Display giving me Sat Nav, Phone, Radio. I have a DAB radio attachment that connects to any radio by either connecting via the aerial socket or, where fitted, auxiliary inputs.

I have located the aerial wires running down the passenger side pillar but cannot work out how to get into the pod that houses the MFD. There are three wires in the window pillar, one is the lead from the Sat Nav aerial mounted behind the rear view mirror and I am assumming that the other two are for the in-built phone and of course the radio.

Does anyone know how to get at the radio connections - namely aerial socket. I have searched here and via google but so far have been unable to find any info. I like to listen to Five Live and around where I live the reception is diabolical on the AM band.

Hope someone can help.:)

If you do a search on this forum this was discussed about 6 months ago and someone fitted a new radio into a Doblo and posted step by step instructions as to how to get the unit out.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I did one search but drew a blank so I'll have another go with wider criteria.

Thanks once again.

I noticed two small holes either side of the CD slot. Tried putting standard car radio release keys ( U-shaped type) into hole but didn't seem to do anything. Does anyone know how far they have to go in as I'm sure these release the front display.

Ta all.

The two holes realease the whole CD unit you just gotta know how to use them.

Insert your release keys with the chamfered edge facing inwards to the CD player until you hear them click and you can't pull the keys back out... then bend the keys outwards towards the doors and pull, it should release.

Welcome to the forum by the way (y)

Thanks for the info, you are all very helpful. I have suceeded in getting radio block out, I wasn't pushing hard enough on the removal pins before - always a bit wary. All I have to do now is work out which lead supplies the power so I can tap into it for my DAB module.

My son wants to know if my DOBlo will become a DABlo when I've finished :p

such wit he will do well on this site from what I've seen.

Thanks for your warm welcome too.

PS Mine is a 54 plate Cargo and I've done 56K and love it.
