I had a hiatus on the dark side, a couple of years with BMW e34's and an e28. I still have an e39 which my wife drives.

I brought a 124 sport with the intentions of re-doing it all nice. In reality it sat in the garage for 18 months, so I sold it when our son was born a couple of weeks ago, realizing that I was probably never going to get around to it. All good, I doubled my money!

I brought Croma turbo, a pre-face lift one. actually in pretty good condition, the interior is pretty gross though, but hey, it was only $900! with a wof and reg! The guy I got it from posted a note here a month or two ago regarding an oil leak from the turbo.

Pretty underwhelming amount of power I thought... Brad had a delta HF turbo which felt a lot more powerful, and the croma is a 2 liter with a bigger turbo. So I had a look, found the shiny bright blue blow off valve was actually plumbed in between the AFM and the turbo, fail! so I put the old one back in, which improved it a little bit. then I checked the turbo for play, seems fine (actually, really good, may have been redone recently)
the oil pressure guage reads zero, so of course I had to check that (did alex's alfa hole drilling trick, which would have worked great, only I stuck the drill bit through the carbon plate.) anyway, checked it with a mechanical gauge, which read around 2 bar at idle while cold which seems pretty good to me.

Anyway, does anyone know where to get a gear shift linkage bush kit from? I got one for an uno for like $15 from Mal a few years ago, but apparently he doesn't stock the Croma one.

Also, any sort of things I should be doing just to make sure that it keeps going properly? theres a slight sort of rattling noise from the engine, not sure what it is, worries me, cause brad brought a them 8v turbo a while back which blew the bottom end while driving it from wellington to auckland the day he brought it. don't really want to happen....

thanks for your help team!
and for reading my story.
