Well, I've bought a Croma.

A few things to sort, but one that is particularly bothering me.

I've got the dreaded skydome.

It jammed open on a previous owner and was closed and 'disabled' by Fiat.

Problem is, they left the blinds open.

The rear one is easy, clip is broken, I can sort that.

But the front is more of an issue.

I've checked the fuses, they're present, so they must have either disconnected the motor or disabled it in software (assuming that's possible).

I've tried 'moderate force', but it won't budge.

Are the plug connections under the rear headlining?

Is there any way I can check in MES to see if it's been disabled electronically?

There's not as much hair up top as there used to be and I'm having to wear a hat on sunny days!

MES has the ability to Enable/Disable the "Panoramic" sun roof.

This function can enable/disable the sunroof functionality.
To enable or disable this functionality you need to execute this adjustment and select enable or disable.
PLEASE NOTE: You have to execute the PROXI Alignment procedure after changing this value! Otherwise your vehicle will not accept the changes.

If they've disabled it like I did on mine they've just pulled the multi plug off the back of the sunroof buttons I only removed the glass roof button and left the blind plugged in on mine. Connections are behind the sunroof buttons in the bit where all the interior lights live.

Hi,
My Croma does not have a SkyDome, but I checked MES and it does not seem to have any functionality for the SkyDome. eLearn the electronic service manual (you can download it from the downloads section) makes no mention of using examiner for basic stuff but it does cover the mechanical bits quite well.

You could always get a bit of dark window tinting film for it.

Thanks, I'll take a look at the buttons.

Thanks for the info.

I can't see this on my car or simulation. It must only show up if MES detects the sunroof node on the CAN bus.

Ok...

MES CAN setup says it's enabled, there is no other mention of it that I can find anywhere though.

The fuses are both there.

The roof control (dial) is not connected, but the buttons are. There is a third, flat plug with 3 or 4 pins that I presume is for the alarm? Not fitted on my car.

Pushing the buttons does nothing, no clicks of relays, nothing.

Any ideas?

Will the blind still work if the dial is disconnected?

I can try connecting it, but I really, really don't want to open the roof if it has issues...

There's two plugs one for the blind buttons and the other for the roof dial button. My roof button is unplugged but the blind is still plugged in and working.i sealed my roof shut with black silicon as it whistled over 85mph.

You are correct, Not sure how I missed it.
