I thought I'd start a new thread instead of hi-jacking someone else's!

I have attached the print out of the before and after measurements from my tracking today. It was waaay out.
Unfortunately Fiat or Vauxhall aren't to blame this time, as I have recently fitted new upper suspension arms plus coilovers all round.
It still makes very interesting reading.

It does but the graphic symbols really do need additional info/clarification on the report.

Anybody who knows nothing about wheel geometry will just see the angled/wobbly/? graphic pictures of the before and after status and assume "job done". To many to see a "straight" picture after alignment compared to a "bent" picture before alignment can be a little or more misleading.

Caster, toe, camber and setback (crab angle from to back) basically set/define wheel geometry and printed reports for end customer digestions. They should clearly defined and state required criteria and compliance when measured.

The Croma 2005+ is well known for rear wheel alignment & geometry issues!

I like their graphics, but I think if this was a scientific paper it may be criticised for the slight bias in the before and after diagrams! - especially as there are still two red numbers.

I saw the same issue when mine was done - I was standing under the car with the bloke doing the back. There are two factors that fight against each other. He got a good compromise, and now my back tyres simply do not wear at all - I've just swapped the front and back to spread the wear out.

Now I remember reading years ago on here about some possible replacement adjusting screws under a recall. I'm wondering if they allowed the right adjustments to be made?

Anyway, my backs are fine. But the fronts always wear the inner edges. I'm probably due a re-doing on mine - it has had front springs since it was done, over 4 years ago.

It's all best-guess anyway. The suspension pivots in an arc, so if the car's weighted down it wears the inner edge more - I wonder if my pet Croma's trying to give me a hint?

Yes the "Cam Bolts" that adjust the camber were supposed to be replaced if your car needed adjusting under Campaign 5138.

I obtained one of the new bolts and accurately measured it and it wash identical in cam head size offset to the originals. All that appeared to have changed was a "production cost reduction". The new bolt lacked the arrow pointers that the old bolts had on the head. Also the cam head was easier to manufacture.

The cam head will move the lower track arm in/out by a maximum of 7mm. Doing the maths then this equates to a maximum camber change of 2.23 degrees.

Adjusting the camber also affects the toe in.

Officially the Croma camber should be approx. -1.5 degrees with a toe of +0.1 deg. The nearest I could get mine to was -2.0 degrees with a toe in of 0.24 degrees.
