Re: Another Accident

As I said before, the B&M guys are now near enough billionaires (they were merely multi millionaires when I shared an office with them, although I was only on a normal salary so not in their league or even close to it!) but they are pragmatic guys. If they saw that it would have made sense to open an account for car hire they would have gone with it, but they will also not be fussed if this little rental outfit seems to be saving them some money.
It seems like they have been very fair with you, which I am pleased to see.
Thanks dave thanked for this post

yeah they could have been worse, thanks for pointing me in the right direction for who to contact

The Lady who I've been dealing with said they would be happy to open an account with enterprise as they will probably use them in future. I cant see why enterprise didn't jump at the chance to secure a major account.

Probably because whoever you dealt with at Enterprise is on minimum wage, completely demoralised and couldn't care less about the company's welfare. This seems to be the main attitude in most big companies these days - you try and help them and the staff seem to just get annoyed that you're giving them more work to do.

I guess it's the company's fault really - for not training, paying or treating their staff properly. Or perhaps they just employ the wrong people.

it hardly constitutes a major account then does it ?

Enterprise who deal with car insurance firms and probably rent hundreds of cars a day all over the county to people like Aviva and direct line will not see the occasional rental to a company like B&M as a major account

i would have thought there was some sort of bonus scheme for securing an account.

B&M are opening new stores every week so very likely they would need cars to send training team to different stores.

Mrs Dave is in retail and the firm she works for isn't opening hardly any new stores but still has some cars on hire from enterprise for regional support managers.

Re: Another Accident

They will always be hiring cars either because their "own" cars are off the road, or they need something temporary that isn't worth buying or longer-term leasing.
As I said though - you will never find out what the potential is if you don't bother to open the account.

Re: Another Accident

well cars now in the bodyshop, they have lent me a c1 to get around in, its not as bad as the matiz, but not as useful as a cinquecento. for a boot door it only has the rear window no chance of getting anything apart from shopping bags in there.
If i put front seat right back and turn my head i am looking out of the rear side doors lol,
