Oh my, 38 owners. For a car manufacturer of this size
this looks like a complete disaster ;)

I'm still surprised I bought a Fiat and that I like it.
Might be me, getting old or something.

Now with Croma

I bought my Croma one week ago as used car. Car is year model 2006. It's exact type was:
Fiat Croma 1.9 JTD 150 Comfort Business Wagon A

I don't know is that the right name of type, but it is:
Fiat Croma 1.9 JTD 150
It has leather seats, automatic aircondition, automatic gears, cruise, webasto, mainly mentioned.

Before that car I drove brand new gasolin Tipo about 240 000 km in 8 years. After that again with new Stilo 80 gasolin almost 200 000 km in 6 years.

I changed that Stilo to this Croma. Have I changed my Stilo to better or worse?

Gasolin Stilo takes 6.2 l / 100 km, and now Croma takes diesel 7.1 l / 100 km.

In our country diesel is about 0.35 c/l cheaper than gasolin. But I have to pay extra diesel car tax approx. 40 e / month. It depends on to car's weight. And Croma is heavy!

Where do you live?

In the UK cars are taxed based on the amount of CO2/Km. As such diesels are cheaper to tax. Until recently gasoline was cheaper than diesel by about 12% - but are the same price now.

Only thing is diesel cars are quite a bit more expensive to buy new (approx €1200 - €1500 for average family car)

Am I No. 39?!

2008 Croma 2.4 JTD Dynamic Evo 2 (facelift)

Ex FIAT Auto Contracts Lease Car bought from EBay for £4000 over a year ago.

'06 150 Multijet Eleganza

Likes:
Very Comfortable;
Fits two Kids and all their stuff with ease;
Not an MPV (although the Croma isn't really sure what it is itself).

Grumbles:
Optional 18" Alloys look good, but compromise ride and Rubber costs a bit;
Economy is not great;
Had to sell Alfa Romeo Sportwagon due to expanding family.

Issues to Date:
Alternator Failed;
Rear Discs and Pads replaced (Used Signum parts as much cheaper than FIAT);
Air Conditioning Condenser failed.

Still Happy......

I have owned a Croma for nearly 18 months now. It has been back to the garage 3 times - alternator, EGR valve and a head gasket. Fortunately all done under warranty.

I think this car should be renamed to "Damocles" because you never know when it's going to fall... Just that it will!

Croma owner here...just happened across it while shopping for a used car. Was looking at Audi's and VW's. The price of the Croma sold me. Anyhow, its a 56 plate Prestigio with the 150 diesel.

Anyone added a tuner to the 150 diesel? Ive been shopping but have been hesitant to spend the loot! If I got some good reviews I would probably go fo rit. 20% increase in power is enticing!

Added a boost gauge the other day fr the heck of it. In stock form it spikes to 22-24 under hard acceleration and then then levels off at an even 20psi. Kinda fun to watch the gauge.

Hi Jadento, good place to research the remap/tuning box is alfaowner.com. The 1910 is very common in Alfas.
There are issues with the DPF with some systems. (particulate filter regeneration).

Hi everybody, just bought my first Croma - 07 2006 1,9 multijet diesel - so far so good. Actually, I went to by Picasso, then addicted by Croma look, could not resist. :)
Best regards to all from Belgrade, Serbia ..
P.S does anybody knows where to find Blaupunkt car radio user manual - English or French?

bought a 2006 dynamic 2 weeks ago,add me to the list.lovely car to drive but alarm doesn't behave as per manual.press lock on fob once the lights flash 3 times,press fob twice (to activate deadlocks) lights flash 5 times!No beep either, but not necessarily a bad thing.

The car thinks that one of your doors / bonnet / tailgate is open, that's why - the lack of beep may indicate an alarm fault, possibly related. Needs looking into.

HTH.

Yep, mines a 150 multijet 56 plate with 35,000 on the clock and have experienced the following: failed on day one- so say low battery voltage. Running problems for at lease 3 years which garages said they couldn't diagnose as no fault showing, tyre wear front wheels which has not been curable, alternator burnt out 2 mths out of warranty, EGR valve went 3 ths out of warranty. Just waiting for the next expensive fault !!!!!

I've had my 1.9 JTD Dynamic for a year now.
Good points so far. Fantastic fuel economy - especially on the motorway, plenty of room inside, rarity value - i.e. not a rep's bland mobile,
Bad points. Can't get a decent set of non Fiat (dealer price too high) floor mats that fit, rear brake pads making grating noise -though not more than 50% worn & discs look ok,
Otherwise not bad, could not fault this car for everyday use, the lads at work have me down as an old man now though. :D

Hi everybody,

just bought my first Croma, it's a 03/2008 1.9 JTD MultiJet 16V Elegance GPS 150 ch with 22500 kms and deep blue colour. :)
No problem so far, lots of pleasure to drive it (i had Renault Scénic and Peugeot 206 before this one). (y)
One thing : i'm still looking for firmware version of Connect Nav+ (doesn't display on Fiat startup screen) and don't know if there is an hidden menu (like Stilo). :confused:

Wow! March 2008 is a Mark II Croma and I'm not sure I've seen one here before. I don't think there are any MarkII Croma's here in the UK.

I think we could be asking you more questions than you ask us! :)

As for Connect Nav+ I have no info/advice. As you say the Stilo used to display the version in the bottom right corner of the display.

All I can suggest is that you completely explore all menus available.

Hi all, I am way behind you guys with this post, but I only bought my Croma 1.9 Multijet Dynamic 120 (06) on 4th of February.
Forum been very useful and I sort of know what to expect from a car now.
86222 miles, hoping to run it for good few years.
