Hi

well ive just baught a 20vt engine for my bravo and wanted to know what sort of gains a decat pipe will have and what bore exhaust will be best for it as it will all have to be custom made to fit the bravo,

The car will be running a GT30 turbo and will have 440cc injectors

many thanks

Hi. I think it's possible to see as much as a 10BHP gain when running wthout a cat. The best exhaust would be 3" from the downpipe back, but this won't be cheap (£500+) however good gains could be had from a 2.5 or even 2.25" cat-back. My car made an extra 50BHP from standard with just an air filter, de-cat, Cobra cat-back 2.5" exhaust and a remap.

NIce one bud cheers, i know a place that will do the zorst quite cheap so might look into the bigger bore cheers, do you know if anybody has run wrx injectors on them yet as i have been offered a set to try for free when engine is in car.

thanks

I don't know about the injectors, sorry! Bigger injectors are popular though if you're aiming for more than 350BHP. I think they're just Bosch ones, not specific to any one make/model of car.

well plans have changed slightly ive bid on a garret T3 instead untill i can afford a hybrid. has anybody used one of these on a 20vt before?

don't use injectors that aren't designed for the car - the stock injectors have a very specific spray pattern designed to inject the fuel straight into the inlet ports - it's a twin-cone pattern, with a 10 degree spread and a 2-3 degree separation

The other problem is that buying a set of WRX injectors will still leave you one short:rolleyes:

lol i wasnt buying they were a freebie from a mate who has loads spare. nbut i see your point yeah shame really eah where do you get the 450cc upgrades from then?
