If stood then plug leads etc could be damp. If its cleared then I would not worry. The engine heat will have dried them as well as them now being in use.
You could spray around them with some WD40
If a misfire reoccurs then look at changing the leads.

White smoke is the condensation that has gathered in the exhaust. When a cars been left it will churn it out until the exhausts dried all the water out.

Yes!! change the oil :)

ok the white smoke has practically gone now, but the car is running ruff, it feels like a diesel, any1 have any ideas as 2 why its running ruff.

ok i done that coil pack test.i removed the lead off each plug 1 by 1 and none of them stalled the engine? does that mean my coil pack has gone and is it easy 2 fit

ok ive changed the coil pack and its still the same. its shudders and feels rough 2 drive, what else can it be.some1 please help this car is pi**ing me off . never had any problems with my vw

Hi
Which VW did you have.
I would say when you take the plugs out, then do a compression check.
Just remembered, you probably have stale petrol because the car had been standing 7 months.

If its been standing for so long most cars will be a bit grouchy, a major service would be the first thing you would do (new plugs, fluids and filters) as well as checking the brake pipes and CV boots for perishing as well as rot on the solid pipes, also corrosion pitted brake discs are a possibility.

ok i put new plugs in and the car got a lit better.. the shakes are gone, but when i put my foot down the car hardly moves, its struggles. i also got a new coil pack but that never made any diff.. so i was wondering if my ht leads were foooked would they make my car drive the way it is.. rough and slow? also my old plugs were black and dry, what does this mean?

dunno ewhat they called.got them from a auto spares shop.they are the correct ones for the coupe

nah they dont. its not smooth but after it gets over 2-3thousand revs it gets a little smoother,i can even drive the car it jus feels like its not gettin enough fuel o suttin.

ok the petrol ran out ( old petrol from7months ago) and my car turned off normal.i put some more petrol in and it wont start,it truns over and everyfing, its like if the fuel is getting to the engine,.fuel pump comes on, has the old petrol clogged up my pipes o suttin and is there anyway i can get the car started.some1 help me.had the car for 2 weeks now and driven it once :-(

After sitting for so long I would have...

drained the fuel and replace or added octane booster.
changed the engine oil.
flush the coolant and replace.
inspect and clean or replace the spark plugs and leads (especially if you don't know how old they are).
consider changing fuel filter.

Take the plugs out and crank it over... can you smell fuel in the cylinders?

yeh the sparkplugs are new changed them a day ago, and yes when i try start the car there is a smell of petrol

also the car starts but shuts off straight away, even if i try putitn my foot on the acc pedal it still cuts off
