Hi to all.

For 2 year i was owner of uno turbo mk2 (with all aftermarket goodies).
This car was stolen from me.

A week ago i bought a fiat tipo coupe with 16v turbo engine (from fiat coupe)
I'm new to fiat's 16V turbo engine and i got some oil leeks.
I'm planning to replace cam belt (the engine is 5 yeas old).
Need your advice on what should i relplace to stop the leeks and
what i need to do on the way?
Owners recomendations will be apprishiated.

p.s this is me with my new toy

You need to let let us know where the oil leaks are coming from. Oil leaks are not neccessarily bad and many can be tolerated.

What I normally to is thouroughly clean the whole engine with a liberal spray of "Gunk" and wash off with a standard hose and not a pressure wash. Remember to get the engine warm to begin with.

(remember to protect/shield/avoid electrical related connections and devices as best as you can)

Now leave the whole engine to cool naturally (don't start) and allow it to evapourate all the water you have just washed owver it.

Now the fun begins :)

Get yourself a tin of talcum power (cheapest possible or a bag of plain flower) and completely dust all gasket seals etc in talc/flower.

Leave car to stand for a while and closely inspect. You my find some areas of oil staining appearing. These colud be due to either poor cleaning in the first place or a real source of an oil leak.

Locally clean these areas with a cloth soaked in white spirit or another alcohol and redust them. Note down where they were.

Now take the care for a drive. Not to far, not too short.

Re-examine for new oil staining.

The whole process a simple process of clean, dust, eliminate. Tedious but tracing an oil leak can ber very difficult. One oil has breach a seal it speads and gathers elsewhere so the most oily and dirty laces are often never related to where the oil came from in the first place.

Also imaging you are a drop of oil drive by gravity and capilliary action. Where/how would you have arrived at the most affected location. Did you drop down, travel along etc.
