I have a 1998 20V Turbo Coupe that i have recently bought and while driving it as soon as the turbo kicks in at around 2500 revs it hesitates like crazy,any hard acceleration and it just coughs and splutters at me HELP!!!! :bang:

I'd check the EBV, if it's sticking then it could cause this. It may well also be a coil pack playing up, or a boost leak, or even your spark plugs.

could be low boost caused by defective turbo, wastegate mechanism or air leak.

More than likely to be a lack or too much fuel. Could be faulty fuel pump.

OR it could be the clip on your actuator has came off. This would mean that no boost would be available and it would struggle to accelerate to 5000rpm where it would speed up a bit.

sounds like the boost valve when it does it does the engine light come on then go of when the hesitation stops if so then the error in the system will be airflow meter but dont replace it cos its not that at fault its the electronic boost valve screwing up the system i had this same fault on mine and many other coupes at work its a cheap fix and fiat petrol turbo cars have the same valve e.g punto gt or uno turbo etc.

Faulty Turbo, valve or pipe leak causing no boost and overfueling.
