With a 12 month or 12000 mile warranty on a Return to workshop basis. Its Advised to change the clutch and possible fly wheel to maintain the warranty.

All my gearboxes are fully striped, thoroughly cleaned and checked and checked again until i am totally happy with all the results, even down to all the threads checked and rectified with any issues.
All gears, shafts, selectors and other components are examined, rigorously tested, and checked for quality, durability and longevity, Even down to the clutch fork bushes being replaced.

And then this is where i start to do the rebuilding of the gearbox.
The gearbox casing is soda blasted along with other components to remove all the dirt and grime, and then it's given a coat of paint ready for the built up and using up-rated bearings, new oil seals, and anything else thats worn out or broken.
Even the top selector housing is striped and checked for uneven wear and fitted with new oil seals
Be very cautious of much cheaper gearboxes that are on offer, as i have come across gearboxes that have just been painted to look like a reconditioned one.
The gearbox is sold on an exchange basis, there is a deposit required but this is refundable when I have your old gearbox back.Without any holes or damage to the casing in exchange for my reconditioned unit.
SO WHAT DO YOU GET
Fully reconditioned 5 speed C514.5 manual gearbox complete with a complete new full set of 8 bearings YES 8!! and 6 new oil seals..
