I recently bought some mudflaps but they are just the material. There are no attachments. So my question is:

Has anyone put them on before? How did you attach them?

I was thinking about a small bracket somewhere on the bumper but don't know hows best to go about it

Any help appreciated

Cheers guys. The ones I got are Sparco. Gonna have a go at fitting them tomorrow. Sorted out the clutch today:Dwell proud of myself. The mudflaps should be ok. I'll see where I can bolt them to. Need some spare bolts thoughB)

If you are going to use the Sparco flaps in the Rally styleee. i.e. big, don't bolt them straight to the bumper. If they get caught, on a kerb, frinstance, they will rip the bumper off.

ok my next question. Is the bumper easy to remove as I think I will need better acess to the chassis

Bumper is easy to remove.

Two bolts behind front panel, one bolt each side securing the bumper to the chassis outrigger, and one, maybe two per side b'stard little bolts at top and bottom (only nut of this is accessible, needs socket wrench and extn bar).

You could remove all of the bolts excl. one of the front b'stard ones, keep that in and swing the bumper out of the way - Might damage paint (didnt on my self-painted 899's as I used plastic primer, paint was flexible) so might not be recommended tof Sporting's

It's all good people. I have a good idea of how I'm gonna bolt them to the chassis. Just need the time. I'll have to wait until next Thursday, methinks.

I'll have to have them on by Bletchley Park[8D]

I got some Fiat mubflaps and they came with a bracket thing. I think I had to bend/twist the brackets, but all the parts came with the flaps. Only the rear mudflaps have brackets though, the front ones just slide on and have two screws which go into the wheel arch kinda thing (plastic part).

um, have you got your flaps front to rear?

Front ones have a 5" long bracket on with 2 8mm headed bolts, these clamp onto the vertical edge under the front sill. One little clamp goes onto the arch liner and holds the top end.

Rears have a little L-shaped bracket attached and a couple of mounting screws.

i already have fronts on. the Fiat Lineaccessori ones. But the rears I've just bought are the spraco ones that are universal and come with no fittings whatsoever
