right its a common question and to be fair its a lot of money to splash out.
so for anyone who has upgraded post up the brand you fitted
and points raised on fitting that kit eg poor fit
the drop, size of wheels you have on that drop, and opinions of the kit.
eg comfort,handling, scraping/rubbing
obviously its all subjective but gives an insight.
where you got it and price paid wouldnt hurt if you have it

Re: cinq/sei suspeension

Brand - Apex Suspension Kit
Issues - No issues with fitting
Drop - -30mm
Wheels/Tyres - 14" Sei Abarth Wheels - 175/50 14 Tyres

Comfort - Firm but not uncomfortable
Handling - Excellent, held the road well, would be confident if I overcooked it
Scraping/Rubbing - None, although I wouldnt like a full load in the back

From - www.fastfiat.com
Price - £215

IMO a great budget kit

Re: cinq/sei suspeension

Your car looks really great!

And those were just the pictures I was looking for, because I have a sei too and want to put an apex sportkit under it with the original abarth alloys. Just like you have. Now I can see how it looks, looks good! Do you have to look at wheel standings after you've fitted the set? and is there a good manual included with te set? Bye the way, have you put track-wideners behind your wheels? or does it have the original track whideness.

Thanks!

Re: cinq/sei suspeension

Brand - Spax PSX
Issues - No issues with fitting
Drop - -60mm/40mm
Wheels/Tyres - 13" Speedlines - 175/50 13 Tyres

Comfort - Firm but not uncomfortable
Handling - Excellent, held the road well, can be set to over or under steer - which is fun
Scraping/Rubbing - scrapes the floor sometimes, but not the wheels, can take a car full of people and have no tyre scrubbing issues
From - can't remember
Price - quite a lot of money!

Re: cinq/sei suspeension

Brand - Bilstein Streetline Kit (OEM Bilstein gas shocks and Venturi springs)
Issues - Getting the shocks to line and up bolt to the hubs was a bit of a pain, i had to keep springs compressed and force shock piston up to get holes to line up. Didnt have this problem with teh standard equipment. Other than that, problem free.
Drop - -40mm i think
Wheels/Tyres - 14" Sei Abarth Wheels - 185/50/14 Tyres

Comfort - Same comfort levels as OEM thanks to bilstein gas shocks
Handling - Excellent, gives it a go-kart feel without compramising too much on stiffness.
Scraping/Rubbing - None, although slight rubbing on inner wings on lock but that due to offset and wider tyres not lowering kit.

Re: cinq/sei suspeension

Brand - SPAX PSX Shocks/Eibach -25mm Springs
Issues - Never fitted it initally but later on I've had it all off, fits perfect, even the shocks are Sei stuff.
Drop - -25mm or something like that
Wheels/Tyres - 14" Sei Abarth Wheels - 185/55 14 Tyres

Comfort - Depends on adjustment really, fully soft is harder than OE and midway is a good compromise, I set mines to 9 clicks rear-15click front
Handling - Excellent, on 13's at the time I was fearless
Scraping/Rubbing - None, although I wouldnt like a full load in the back

From - Demon Tweeks
Price - £380

Re: cinq/sei suspeension

On my Cinq 899 Sx i had

Brand - Apex Suspension Kit
Issues - No general issues with fitting but i was severly disapointed with the corrosion on them after only five months:bang:
Drop - -40mm but probably 50mm front 35 mm rear compared to other cinqs
Wheels/Tyres - 14" Fiat bravo option pack Wheels - 185/50 14 yoko Tyres

Comfort - Firm but not uncomfortable but at the same time you could tell it was sports suspension
Handling - Absolutely brilliant, couldnt fault it on the handling at all
Scraping/Rubbing - managed to scrape one of my floor pans some how but dont think it was genrally the lowering kits fault, did have slight rubbing on full lock but that was due to wrong offset wheels

From - www.larkspeed.com
Price - £216

Good kit for handling, needs better corrosion resistance like the spax and koni gear
