I need a new airfilter on the cinq, I have one of them novitec-ish carbon airboxes so am looking for a 'sports' filter

Does anyone have experience with any of the 'sports' ones - k&n, green, itg, pipercross, etc...

At the moment the cinq is using possibly a 'sports' filter, but unsure of the make, possibly dragon...something

Any increase in power or noise is a added bonus :woot:

I have an ITG replacement filter on my Mpi Sei.Tis a big round thing compared to the tiny Cinq,panel.I am pleased with mine,It's hard to tell if there is any power increase.Without a rolling road,but the car goes well enough,&I can service the filter myself.

my sister has k&n panel filter on her punto 1.2 spi (basicly same as cinq's) and i told her there should be power increase, she drove her car after, and she was like what? power increase? no. just wasted £45.

been reading that k&n reckon a 2.5bhp increase, i doubt that very much, just make you think you going faster cause of a throaty noise

might stick a foam filter in it, see what happens

anyone else

BMC do one. No idea about any gains on made with them.

Don't stick a foam filter in. It will work worse and Mr. Novitech will send you the Italians with Borsalinas, long coats and violine cases round.

I shoulf have a BMC somewhere kicking around (unused). If you want you can try the one. It does only collect dust.

have just looked on the novitec website and i dont think i got a novitec airbox, i got a carbon airbox of some sort, has got 'hormann motorsport' sticker stuck on it

novitec looks like a black/silver weave, mine is black/gold weave

dave - ssshhhh!!!, i treated the punto to a nice drive today....to get some new wheels for the cinq

novitec did a carbon airbox as well though.got any pics?

is it just me or does that novitec one look bloody descusting attached to the rest of the air box? do they not do the rest of it?

well did you look on the site with the link i posted?
the point is its there to improve air flow to the filter,no after the filter.

yes i know that, and there would be no point fitting it but it would look alot better

This set-up is quite good. I don't know what your problem is! I think you should think about your own question.
