Hi guys,

I need to find out the diameter of the steering column and the number of splines it has for a Fiat Seicento 1.1 year 2000

its for my mates car for Christmas, he wants a custom steering wheel so I'm going to try and get him one but I need to know the specs of the steering column so I can get the correct boss.

I would really appreciate your help.

thanks,
Joe

Thanks,
does that boss kit go straight on to the existing column?

Yeh :)
remove airbag (bolts are under covers on the side of the steering column, on the back of the steering wheel). Undo the large nut that holds the steering wheel on. Wind this back on for a few threads, then pull the steering wheel off (leaving the nut on means that you wont smash your face with the steering wheel when you pull it off).

The boss fits on and you can feed the wires through for the airbag. The boss kit will have a resistor you can place in to stop the airbag light flashing up. Then a steering wheel of your choice can be bolted to the boss. If
that doesnt make sense or you want some pictures, i can upload some this evening

cheers mate. no pictures needed, your explanation is plenty :)
