Just a quick Q - what is the oil capacity of a 1996 Cinq SX (900), as I need to do an oil change, and need to know how much to get (as i don't have a manual or a haynes to guide me)

yup, the 1108 is 3.47 litres

those include what the filter holds too

no worries, make sure you use a decent oil there fella!

My workshop manual says 3.8l (including oil filter). However in the last oil change I only managed to get around 3 litres in, and it was right on max. Today I did an oil change and could probably get around 3.8l in it (I'll top it up once it's settled). I shook the car like mad when it was draining, and the oil came rushing out, it seems to have done the job.

Oh no, it looks like I've only removed 3l from the car. Don't fill it up to max until the car/oil has been standing for a long time. My dipsick was nowhere near max, but comparing what I put in to what I got out the level is probably right on max

Yeah, 3.8 is 3.75 rounded up, so your manual is obviously slightly more accurate.

Yes I did it with the engine warm. It looks like I can get a lot more oil in than I took out though. I suppose there must've been a lot in the filter?
