I had a similar fault on my cinq and it turned out to be the plug leads. I changed them in Feb this year but where they were not properly clipped into the little seperating devices on the cam cover they were arcing very slightly between themselves and anything metallic they were close too. Misfire went away above about 2500 - 3000 rpm. I changed the leads for some decent ones and its been fine since.(original ones were from halfords)
