Hi everyone , its been a few years since i sold my last sei sporting and i wasnt expecting to get another until i was driving passed a local garage and saw a rather forlorn 2002 sx for sale at a good price
the garage owner confirmed that it had run out of mot 6 months before and no one wanted it, even though i dont need another car i decided to rescue it and make it into a bit of a project
In the last month its had new rad , timing belt , replaced the rear beam , brake pipes , brake discs , pads , wheel cylinders plus ive spent many enjoyable hours fixing loads of odds and ends
nearly there now for the Mot but now need some advice,
it need the passenger front wing replacing but i cant find the paint code , i know there should be a sticker on the boot lid but its not there for some reason ,where else can i get it from , chassis no maybe?? many thanks jon

You might get it off the vin number from FIAT, but I suspect the reason for the stickers was to give greater flexibility in manufacture.

If you go to a "real" car paint supplier, ideally taking a small part of the car with you (fuel filler flap, for example) they should be able to both identify the colour code and match it (and supply it, even in an aerosol, if that's what you want). 2 birds avec one stone, and all that.

According to the handbook there should be a plate welded to the bootlid with the colour code :confused::confused: ....perhaps they did away with this on the MPI cars as mine only has the silver sticker.
A 2002 SX will be one of the following-
SOLID colours: Tiziano Red 199, White 249, Stelvio Green 312, Capri Blue 451, Black 601.
METALLIC colours: Scillia Red 132, Athena Blue 240, Arianne Green 324, Calypso Orange 571, Teseo Blue 597, Steel Grey 675.

PS: If you ever need to replace seats yours are Oxford Blue Cloth (Code 289)

Thanks for the replys , i need the code because i want to buy another red wing rather than paint what i got
it will cost 20 quid for the paint and i may not get the factory finnish if i do it me self
another wing seems to be only 30 quid
its a solid red colour so it must be 199tiziano red
quick piccy of the car

all back together now , just need the wing a few bits n bobs then mot time
