Cinquecento Sporting exhaust system

Can anyone tell me how much I should expect to pay to replace my Sporting's full exhaust system?

With standard parts, about 100 if you shop about.

For a Supersprint stainless steel system including a cat-removal/replacement section (for MOT time) about 400.

stainless steel exhaust should last longer than the car, ie you'd never have to replace it...

The Supersprint one sounds subtle but sporty, gives extra power, and has the special bit in it where you can put the cat back in for MOT time. (You'll fail an MOT if you don't have a cat.)

Contuary to popular belief...A stainless steel system isnt actuallt the best idea. It is true that stainless steel will not rust thus lasting longer...if it wasnt an exhaust. I'll try to explain. The exhaust underneath your car is a funny thing, a certain amount of 'play' is needed for it not be smashed up by speed bumps, flex in the body and general mish-mash. The stainless steel exhaist system was developed because race cars dont usually require an exhaust to last bery long, they dont have to contend with driving arournd towns/cities and get a new exhaust after each race. It is actually a better idea to get a mild steel system and maybe a stainless backbox (purely for looks). Mild steel will last much longer when having a few knocks, yes it may rust a bit but it wont crack or puntcure like a stainless steel system. Make up your own minds but at the end of the day.
