As I want to turbo my cinq I'm looking for a punto 75 engine.
But I can't find one with reasonable mileage.
All around 200k Kilometers.

So I thinking of using my current one.

It runs fine but I'm wuried it won't be good for turboing.

The buns for the sparkplugs were gone So I bored it up and placed new buns.
This while the cilinderhead was still on the engine.

Removed most of the debre from the cilinder with a greased drillbit.

The engine runs fine ever since.
But will some left over debree scratch the surface of the cilinder?
It aluminum so kinda soft I gues.

I only want to hone the cilinders as I'm gonna place 16v pistons and rods.

If this is'nt a good idea the next question is...

Will a punto 60 block also fit the 16v pistons and rods?
Or is the bore size different?

I knew about thos oil squirters.
Always thought the punto 75 had a bigger stroke and the 60 had a bigger bore.

But you say the latest 60 engine do have those oil squirters.
Do you know from what year they have that?

nope bore and stroke is the same. i think the punto 75 is decked a tiny bit more then the 60 to raise the compression (a good thing if using 16valve pistons as it will help bump the compression up a little as it would be a little to low.)

no idea what engines.
you can also use a 1242 16valve bottom end if you can get them easier/cheaper obviously doing it this way you will have 16valve pistons. also 16v have the oil squirters and a reinforced bottom end... 8valve head will bolt right on and just need the crank pulley swapping for a 8valve one.
