Hi all,

I'm pretty new to the forum, but I have had a good look around before anyone asks.

I haven't seen much about custom exausts and if they're any good...
There's a company in Anglesey doin complete custom stainless steel kits, just wondering if it's worth it in terms of performance before shedding out the cash, and what sort of price people have been spending on them?

I know about the induction kits as a performance upgrade - seriously debating about the gsr kit that everyone's bein goin on about 4 xmas (y)

Cheers guys

Dom

universal ones dont seem to give the performance as opposed to the aftermarket ones that are made for the car, but if you want something different then custom is the way to go

the price i pad for my custom one made by powerflow was £280 from the cat back

may i ask where in angelsey it is as im on the look out for a new exhaust

It depend entirely on the person doing the exhaust......

If it's a boy racer place more likely than not they won't have a clue what's the best for your car, where as motorsport place know what works an what doesn't. (normally)

Eg. Bigger isn't always better!

Eh, was £240 for mine, full stainless CAT back system.

I would say my pick up was better now, the system was designed for the car so releases any potential gain of BHP.

Im also looking at a new exhaust, im very interested in an OMP competition exhaust, wondering if anyone has one or has had one? It says they are suitable for Group N and Group A use so i presume they are good? oh and it costs £269.68 (replaces cat.) feedback appreciated :)

Never used an OMP exhaust myself, but I know a few people have used them on integrales and have said that they are good, but if you plan on using the car everyday then you will get no more than 12months out of it, they rot badly & quickly if used daily or left in rain etc, OMP do state that these exhausts are for competition use only & accordingly give only a 6 month guarantee, but well worth consideration if you intend to use the car on track only & have it garaged at all other times. :D

Ive got a Ragazzon Group N system from the cat back (it basically eliminates the centre silencer and makes the rear silencer a glasspack one)

It makes a nice burble, but isnt that noisy, oh, and its a 45mm tailpipe (standard diameter!!)

Does the OMP system iinclude a manifold? Cos I reckon theres a lot of untapped potential (well just in terms of noise) in that bit...and I cant find one anywhere! (I was listening to a full Grp N 1242 Cinq at Stanford, and it sounded the 'nuts!)

I dont know if it includes a manifold, i wouldnt of thought so!
That OMP one would be no good then as i use the car everyday.
Yeh ive heard a full group N cinq and would love mine to sound like that.
Where did you get your system from mate?

Forza Tuning (well..Autodelta) in London. Prob is, Ragazzon stopped making them earlier in the year

I use the OMP Group N one on the rally car. It mates with the standard manifold, you are not allowed to change the manifold for Group N. It is catless and will pass a road event db limit. It does liberate a bit more power and fits exactly onto the original mounts. There is no flexi pipe in it so it needs to be fitted with either new engine mounts or uprated ones or it will bang about a bit.

Cheers

Ah, the one I bought has a flexible coupling in the centre section...

Im after a tuned manifold made from Mild Steel (that Grp N Cinq had one!) with a Sports Cat...
