We went to the mini festival on the weekend down at silverstone and decided to meet up with an old mate, rory (sei_rory) anyway, after the show we had a couple of drinks then about 9pm we decided to swap dash's over as he's havin to sell his car for uni. half 3am we finally finished. so just thought I'd see what you all think for it? theres still the custom built center consul to go it, but we had to go so we'll do that next time we meet up. he also threw in a free induction kit(y) I've let him keep the ps2 and his gages tho,I'll be putting a temp and voltage meter in. I now cant decide which colour to have the painted bits should I keep them red, paint them black or paint them yellow?

Looks very nice... I like'it. I have in mind to paint my dash in black and the removable parts (bits) in hot red (like yours)!!!

The RN used to paint their gun decks red so the blood was less noticable...

With regrds to your induction kit,
why do you have a pipe going from the induction kit to where i have my oil breather,
Do i have it wrong?

his car is an MPI seicento

your car is a cinquecento

two different engine layouts/setups for a start

your engine breather should go into that hole thats blocked up.

them little k&n breathers are a MOT fail these days. (usualy get away with it tho)

So just to confirm,
I put the breather tube to the blocked hole on the induction and that will make me pass my MOT?

ah sei rory dash mk1 lives again lol get them bits painted yellow ffs lol they stand out like a sore thumb.

i own mk2 sei rory dash which not many people have seen but has a lcd touchpanel and 4 guages fitted

We were talking about your dash and all the flocking agro you had. I think I'm going to end up painting them yellow. what you doing with your dash? you putting it into the yellow one?

They will only fail it if they can see it or if they can smell it, the latter is most likely, i.e. they smell it and look for the source. So at minium you need to reroute it to be discrete, and hope the tester has a cold.

Venting as it is it will give some passengers a headacke or make them ill/car sick. People used to take the vent to under the floor panel to avoid leaking in to the car.

You may want to include a oil trap/flash trap half way along the hose, as some engines pump a lot of oil mist out of the cam cover. I could never get any of these devices to work as advertised I always had to topup the oil more frequently.

The best technique is to tap a pipe into the sump (above the normal oil level) and take that to the intake union, that gets some if the mist to drain back into the sump - maybe.

Donno if there is a throttle body pic in the guides, but yes if there is only one blocked off pipe then try a finger on it to see if it sucks.

The intake manufacturer may have a site with recommended routings for various cars.

It is a MoT fail if they detect and are picky, but some people will sick up after a few hours.
