what would you need to put seicento power steering in a cinquecento
i know that its an elecric pump if im right?
so what would i need to change?
the steering rack and the pump?
but how would i go about wiring up the pump
or would i need to change the whole loom?
any help will be greatly appreciated :)

i think ill be leaving it then :D
was hoping it would be alot simpler just a pump and rack job but then i found out it had an electric pump and it kinda killed it for me :D
thanks for your help

Cinq steering is far better than sei assisted steering. i could steer my sei with my little finger at low speed, cinq feels far more meaty and secure at mid to high speed.

I've got fatter tyers on my cinq and still find the steering easily light enough to park in the tightest spaces no problem at all :)

I`ve heard of the Sei system being fitted into non-Fiat classic cars, so it is do-able.

I`ve considered putting it in my Uno with a quicker rack & smaller wheel.

I have no idea how it works technically though. Is there any techincal data on it anywhere?

There's some in the Sei manual. But my guess is that other (after market) electrical systems are easier. Even a Punto shouldn't need it.

I dont want it because the steerings currently too heavy, but I will be fitting a much faster rack (higher geared), a smaller steering wheel & wider tyres, after all this is done it will be needed even on a light car.

I want to know about the technical side of it, how it takes its signal to activate etc.

Use a Corsa column and then get the control box from someone like 'It will take weeks'

Cheers
