Hi guys my drivers side window (your passenger side...) isn´t opening properly, for it to come down properly i have to pull it towards the rear of the car so that it can come down at the same level ( which it doesn´t if i don´t force it to stay level and tips forward exposing the back top edge of the window as if it´s going to fall in...)

Anybody know what may be causing the rear of the window to be coming down slower than the front? The problem seems to be from those plastic bits at the ends that guides the window to it´s place but can´t see anything wrong with them..

If i grab the window i can wobble it back and forward too..

Any ideas??

First, sorry for the interference by the psychotic moron above (if the post hasn't been removed).

What's probably happened is that the glass is supposed to be seated in a steel channel about a foot long and held in place by a peice of rubber. It's probably slipped out, or is loose. One solution I've seen employed is to replace the rubber with a polyurethane sealant like sikaflex or tiger bond, and wind up the window for a day or so until it sets (so you can be sure the glass is in the right position). You can then lubricate the runners at the side of the glass with a little WD40 or a smear of silicon grease.

It hasn´t jumped out of the piece of metal holding it it´s still pretty well stuck in i thinck the wobbles maybe a problem at the base of whatever hold that metal piece.. gonna have another crack at it tomorrow...

Thanx for the info and for the first time i´m trying to fix it myself instead of running to the garage to get it fixed(y)

Any ideas on how to remove those bolts on the left and right of the door? (Big ones look like they´ve been painted with the door.. i tried with all i had not even a nudge, just sore hands:mad: )
Those bolts hold the plastic bits that guide the window was thincking of removing them and taking a closer look at them..

Why did they have to make those spaces so small? (I know theres probably a good reason but i can hardly squeeze my hand in there never mind trying to figure out whats wrong with the bugger:cry: )

Btw how har is it to actually remove the window from the metal piece holding it? Since my window has alot of fine scratches from sand and tiny stones i was thincking of getting it polished/buffed (you know like they do on watches when you scratch em...) That would make em good as new right?

Oh last thing any ideas on removing "heavy" water drops from the window? i can rub all day and they´ll still be there laughing at me :( (i cn´t seem to find a specific product to remove them, a friend of mine suggested steel wool but wouldn´t that bugger it up so more??)
