I've tried alot of things to try to remove the white from the black plastic on my punto evo, i always try to be careful while polishing but theres always the odd parts that get touched and usually a few minutes later there nice & white.

I've tried a few different things to try to remove it, and i just cant shift it.

Does anyone have suggestions to remove the white residue from black plastic?

I've used a scrubbing brush and a bucket of warm soapy water to fairly good effect - think it goes without saying to be careful of the paint lol

(T-cut on the plastic in my case, on my mk2 lol)

not as cheap as a pencil rubber but Autoglym Bumper Care removed the polish residue on my black trim. I'd tried a number of cheaper products which didn't work very well, this did remove the polish and also made the black bits look black again.

There is a load of remedies out there. From bumper care as mentioned, WD40 even baby wipes, depending if the plastic is smooth or textured.

I tend to carry some wet wipes in the car for various reasons.:D
Silicone spray is another . Detailing wet wax, the stuff that can be used on just about any surface & doesn't go white is a handy thing as well. Especially if youre the type who cant keep to one surface.:D If you know what I mean.
