Hi everyone,

I recently bought some Meguiar's from my local motor factors and just though ad post up a couple of detailing world style reflective pictures of the results.

I bought, mainly Meguiar's lol
Meguiar's Gold Class twin pack, Shampoo and Liquid Wax,
Meguiar's Cleaner Wax,
Meguiar's Even Coat microfibre applicator pads,
Rain-X exterior spray and anti-fog interior wipes,
and a couple of microfibre clothes.

I started off by washing the car with the 2 bucket method; the Gold Class shampoo cut through the dirt well and left the car with a nice shine and a glossy feel.
I let the car dry, then using a Even Coat pad applied the Cleaner Wax to the bodywork. I worked on one panel at a time and found the wax came off very easily without leaving any dust. I even used the Cleaner Wax on the windows. Then sprayed the windows with the rain-x and wiped the interior with the anti-fog wipes. The plastic's got a wipe over with some stuff in a green bottle av had for year’s lol

Anyways, enuf typing, here's some pictures,
wished ad taken more when the sun was shining

Will get plenty more chances as the summer rolls in, hopefully get to give it another clean next week and use the Meguiar's Liquid Wax which ah didn't use this time.

Looks good that Rich :)

Have you considered using a clay bar then polishing the paintwork with Autoglym super resin polish prior to the wax you applied mate? Can get some awesome finishes with SRP.

How is the Rain-x product too? I bought some cheapy stuff from local motorshop near me, it's ok but doesn't really last at all if I'm honest!

cheers, yeah am getting a bit hooked on the detailing crack

ma mate m5haw clay barred his red sei last year an it looked awesome, aiming to go to Stanford Hall in June so will be claying it before that. Read good stuff about SRP so will likely get some of that too ;)

First application of rain-x and it's not rained yet, applied it to the GLW's car too so will see how it fair's. Read good and bad reports bout it, al post up when ah can tell.

Looks good to me! (y) The Gold Class Liquid Wax leaves a really nice finish, but it only lasts about a week, 2 at most. If you want something a bit more substantial from a wax then try something like Autoglym HD Wax or Collinite.

Heck, you could even come say hello at Stanford and I'll give you a sample of a wax or something.

Ooh dear, halfrauds have there 3for2 on again an the SRP, EGP +1 would cost the same or less as online and also get 4.5% cashback too (y)

Cheers for the info lloyd, al give the GC wax a go an see how ah get on. Only do about 130miles a week on the m/way so don't get it too dirty. Got an ever expanding list of products ad love to try :bang: Al certainly come say hello if ah make it down to stanford (y)

Dan - if you're looking for a RainX type thing, Andy Monty recommended PPG Aquapel to me and I'd recommended it to anyone. Applied it shortly after buying my car 2 years ago and had forgotten how good it was until I had to have my windscreen replaced!

googled that stuff, looks pretty good, although not sure if am keen on buying per application. Ah fancy trying this next, they get referred to as the Carlack twins come highly recommended on DW.

Handy thing about buying supplies for my silver cinq is the wifes car is also silver, might get her's polished this weekend if the weather holds out.

How is the Rain-x product too?

Checked today its, Rain X 2in1 Cleaner and Repellent I have got. It rained today (n) but, here's some beading pictures that's a week after been applied and having sat on the drive since.

Reapplied a coat to the wife's car whilst giving it a wash, polish and wax. Rains beading nicely over the whole car, but drove it today upto 40mph and the water didn't really run off the window as I thought it might. Maybe ah was expecting too much?

Ahh cheers for that Rich. Seems like a similiar prodcut to the one i'm using regarding the beading. Today whilst driving to Sixth Form the rain was just sticking to the windscreen and not flying off which seemed to cause more problems than what was originally there!

rich rich rich you need to use the polemer protect that i sell the beading is amazing told you if you dont ask how can i help lol

i luv meguires but have descovered dodo juice so the yellow thing will be covered in the stuff and rim wax for keeping the brake dust at bay will pop some pics on hear asap and you can let me ken what you all think now rich i think i need to abuse you in to my way of thinking

its not what you know it who you know

yes yes ah no, local might not hav bin the right word as ah bunged them on ma DA's account, 42miles away :ROFLMAO:
