Hi,

I'd have another question, hopefully it will be easier.

The Bravo (manufactured in 2008) had a gearbox oil changed after purchase - Summer 2020. Since then in cold conditions it is hard to shift, but excellent when car is warmed up. I'm planning to change the oil again. Many of you are recommending Redline MT85, which is not accessible in Hungary - ordering from ebay cost a fortune 100USD to have it in my hands...

Gearbox is C514.6, I think - where to check?

I found that Castrol Syntrans Multivehicle 75w-90 would do the same or very similar job. Using the 75w-90 instead 75w-85 cost only worse mpg and would have life time benefit?
This oil also GL4 and advertises itself as a problem solver in hard shifting in low temperatures.

What I done so far to prove that it might be the gearbox oil what is causing the problem:
- prior change the shifting experience was way better
- clutch working point checked (starts to disengage at cca 1..1.5 inches travel from the top)
- clutch fluid bled

Could the above mentioned Castrol oil is a good choice? It would cost cca. 33 USD.

Thank you,
Zoltan

It seems I cannot edit the post. There is an another alternative, which is accessible in Hungary: RAVENOL MTF-1 SAE 75W-85. Is it any good? I never used this, and to be honest did not hear about it.
