I always liked the led headlights on the audi and wanted to do something like this for a long time so I finaly gave it a shot.

I know that many people think that leds are chav, but I made sure my setup is 100% invisible when it's off and looks like factory made and not just a bunch of blue bulbs stuck on the headlights.

check the pics and let me know what you think.

That's pretty cool. I like it, although are the Audi ones not along the bottom of the light?

I suppose that might interfere with the indicator lighting though...

Is it stuck on the inside or the outside of the light casing?

It's behind the headlights, under the bonnet. The light beam goes through the plastic of the headlights and gives the impression that the leds are inside.

Audis have leds in different areas depending on the model.

Will you take a picture of where you put them i cant seem to think where you have put 'em i want to do this to mine this looks awesome good job!!! (y)

In the words of Clarkson,

"Lit up like a council house at christmas" :D

Only kidding!

everybody knows that clarkson's a moron :)

Everybody that drives a diesel that is :D :D :D
Rest of the world that drives on correct type of fuel actually likes the old fart :)

Just kidding..I like the new look, look's like the serial ones on the Delta.

Tidy job there, do these come on with the taillights or are they completely independent, like the Audi ones?

(this bothers me on the Audis: if you're gonna have lights on at the front why not have 'em at the back as well? Surely they could have splashed out another 2 quid and connected some red LEDs up in the taillight clusters)

the audi lights aren't independant as such. they're permanently on. they're Daytime Running Lights and will be required, by law, on all new cars from 2011.

u don't need taillights in the day. the DRL's on the front are for the benifit of pedestrians in particular, to make an approaching car more visable. ie. to stop the idiots walking out in front of u...

DRL's are already fitted to the 500.

@Tad - i like what you've done, looks mint, but i'd have gone for white personally

How would you wire the LED's to be on when the ignition is turned on? ive ordered some 48 CM white LED strips would fit nice and you can cut them to size

Impressive, but blue is a no-no and illegal as well. White would be fine. Anyway looks good to me

I'm going to be doing this once I've managed to order some LED lights.

Where did you order from craggit?
