There is a lot of activity re HIDs etc at the moment, but I want to upgrade the sidelights, too. The original bulbs are b*ll*cks.

I bought some Philips Vision Plus bulbs for the B1 some years ago and got a set of Philips W5W bulbs for free. They did seem better than the originals. I can't remember if they were the Blue Vision ones. Do they do what it says on the tin - shine blue?

Anyone fitted LEDs? If so, which, and have you got any pics you could upload?

What, if any, problems do they cause with respect to being low-load and the 'bulb-out' warning?

It seems that the Philips X-Treme Power bulbs are now available in H1. Power Bulbs are doing the free W5W offer again, calling the W5Ws "upgrade".
Might go for that, but am still considering the LED option.

Any thoughts?

Just had a look on that power bulbs site, looks quite good. Blue Vision H! 4000k bulbs with the free W5W side lights look like they will do the job nicely!

Done a bit more research.

UltraLEDs do an LED W5W that eliminates error reports. No idea how bright it is, though. It does not feature in their list of "brightest bulbs". Not cheap at £5 each.

Hmmm

May have a little bit of a research tomorrow! I think I'd rather replace the bulbs rather than get a HID conversion
