I had my car since March 2001 and although it great fund to drive when it's running fine, it suffers some very annoying intermitent problems. I've taken it to the local Fiat dealership several times but there're clearly not bothering to identify the problem.

First of all when I pull off in the mornings the clutch vibrates when it reaches biting point, this can be quite severe. Although the problem seems to clear once the car has warmed up.

Secondly, if I've been driving a lot and even when I haven't on occaission the car Kangaroos when I allow the car to creep on idle in traffic queues etc. Added to this the ride seems to get very harsh. The problem seems to be worst when the weather is hot or cold.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

it sounds like your clutch could be on the way out. Before i had mine replaced the car would jolt about when reversing out the drive, then it would vanish as the car did some more miles. When i took it in to be sorted they showed me what was left of the clutch, a crescent shaped part that looked like it had about 100 meters to go before it went totally.
