hi, i have a fiat brava 1.2 SX and 1.9 JTD ELX and im just wondering if they hava a diagnostics port and if so where it is, i have all the diagnostics equipment from work (im a mechanic) but forgot to look up where the port is and what connector it needs, thanks, james

they are both likely to have the 3pin connectors, there are seperate ones for airbag, abs & main ecu. locations vary depending on model. you can connect an obd 16pin connector using a few lengths of wire. on some models there is a 16pin obd connector, the JTD is most likely to have one, if it does have one it is behind the fusebox cvoer, in front of driver's right knee.

If the cars are under 2000 year then you can find the 3pin connector for the motor ECU near the right or the left upper shock absorber to the engine bay.If they are over the 2000 year is under the fuse box an OBD2 16pin connector.Cheers!

Just want to correct Jug but on a 2001 JTD or phase3 JTD the ODB port is not behind the fuse box panel near the drivers knee but its directly underneath the dashboard on the drivers side. There will be a cut out in the sound proofing for the ODB socket. Just stick your head in the footwell and look up. Everything else Jug said is spot on.
