Hello!

Thinking of pimping out my Brava... already got my private reg coming.. :D

OK so at the minute it is a metallic british racing green and i am really wanting to be painted a nice bright yellow metallic... i was wondering if anyone has any idea on how much this job will cost, including all the prima and stuff aswell.

Check out the attached image of the yellow brava, looks really nice

Cheers for your time,

Sam

Broom yellow?

It'll cost a lot to get a respray, £2000ish. Cheaper to buy a car already in the colour you want if available, or if there is one of similar quality.

That quote is based on Bunny's Bravo - certainly worth it given its super low mileage.

Indeed I am.. That's if you want any kind of guarantee against rust popping up.

Helz paid just over £1000 for her respray but I think she had an understanding of some sort with the garage, plus guess what popped up after a short while...

:yeahthat: Mine was a standard colour as well, though it did include bumper and spoiler fitting on top  If you want a broom yellow with pearl/ glitter over the top it'll cost you more. Though there might be standard metallic yellows out there, you'll have to look through the books. I'd love my next car to be yellow, good choice :D

I want that yellow in that pic above  Is the Fiat Broom Yellow nice? i mean you say it isnt metallic but does it still look nice? Also surely there are one or two things you can do to make it look nice and clean and glowing :)

I want to stand out from the crowed but also looking a bit cool at the same time, i was just going to get it done black (surely that would be cheaper?) and then stick some shiney silver rims on, but i think yellow is a hell of a lot better! and not too common on the Brava!!

Also, to save me starting a new thread (Feels like i have started too many lately LOL), i know it would make little change but are there any alternative lights out there for the Brava? Lexus style would look so damn cool!

Ooooohhhh no we like new threads and ideas :D

I've never seen a yellow Brava, a few Bravos though. Which is why I think it's such a god idea :) I do like Broom yellow, but personally prefer metallic colours. At the end of the day it's what you like :D

Lights you're stuck with. Someone did research custom clear ones but costs were going to be too high to make it worth it (details in the Bravo/a section). Some people (like me) smoke them, will find a pic for you.

EDIT - pics here

Hellcat when I said standard colour, I meant it's a standard car colour so cheaper to do, rather than one of these fancy House of Kolor paints or something like that ;)

Yes i also prefer metallics and am quite put off that it will cost that much.

My mate has one of those baby blue bravas, i love the colour of it but its just way to common, and like i said, i want to be a tad different. In your opinion, what would a) look nicer, metallic black or broom yellow and b) what would cost the most, met black or broom yellow,

Thanks for your patience people (LOL)

Go look through the paint books at a local bodyshop, if there's a standard metallic yellow colour you like (Fiat colour or no - mine isn't Fiat), it won't cost any more than Broom yellow. It's if you need special effects to make a flat paint metallic that the cost comes in. I almost went with Sassi grey as well :D

Cheers, ill get the yellow pages out tommorow then!!! (Unless some one can point me in the direction of one within 30 miles of Gateshead/Newcastle ;) )

I am going to take a complete set of pictures of my car, and start a thread where i will keep updates of things added and changed :)

my mate can respray a car for 1000 pucker job or 700 for a resnable job been painting cars and trucks for donkey years painting mine up for wait for it 250 its who you know not what you know (y)

I wouldn't pay less than £1800 for a colour change. Any less and you will end up with a car covered in crap quality paint and the workmanship will probably be pretty poor too. Bear in mind the paint will come in at £400 on it's own...
