CWpete: I've just debadged the bonnet and removed the lock from the tailgate on my Fiesta Van. Whilst it took me a little longer than expected, the results were well worth the effort.

any half-decent body shop should be able to do this, Is "lead loading" necessary for delocking? or could they just fill it?

99 Brava 100 HSX with not enough mods

mad colm: Not many bodyshops use lead anymore. I removed the lock, tacked (welded) a small plate behind the hole, added a thin layer of fibre glass, followed by a thin layer of filler, and finally a fine skim of top stop.

this'd stop it from cracking?

Met Cognac 99 Brava 100 HSX, wish it'd clean itself!

How about this....

Put in a piece of metal- bolting it in using the holes for the lock mounts.... Fix it in with adhesive as well. Fill it in with P45 and then filler paste..

Spray

Ideas? Think it'll work?

Pedal to the metal? ....My Gearbox is on the floor!!!

It would prob work, i'd drill a few small holes in the plate to help the P45 key in though.

Mad, Weta,
I thought lead was illegal now?
