Hey folks.

I should be picking up a red seicento sporting on monday, and am thinkin it may be in need of of roof spoiler and possibly sideskirts, ive seen some for a reasonable price, and was just wondering if anyone knew how much i would be looking at to have them sprayed to match the car.

cheers.

theiving gits in west yorkshire wanted £150 to £200 + vat and that is withou attaching them!!! I did it myself for about £60 in total (includes absolutely everything). There are loads of threads about this. Try searching.

does the DIY job not endup fading or anything?

Can you get a smooth laquered finish as good as the car paintwork?

only i'm thinking of doing my own spoiler but want to make sure it looks like it was a standard fit one and stay that way.

Yeah you just need to invest LOTS of time in the prep stages - make sure everything is smoother than polished glass, and that you use plenty of thin coats of primer and paint, rubbing down between coats with fine wet n dry. If you get 'orange peel' then you can just flat it back and do the top layer again. OR you could do the prep and arrange for a bodyshop to do the top coats. Most of the labour charges cover the prep stages, so it should be pretty cheap for the quality of the finish.

Hope this helps

yeah something like that. lol.

I just rubbed down between coats and it looks professional unless you are actually looking for it properly (exept a small white blemish I have (primer showing through, but still barely noticable)).
