Can anyone help me? ive had a small collision with a bollard in my punto 55sx.. i need a new wing and a few other parts to repair it on the drivers side but the guy at one garage has told me that the subframe is bent and that i would need to repair everything first to see if the chassis is bent or twisted? i dont think the damage is to bad considerin i didnt hit the bollard hard it just crushed my wing? does anyone know of any specialist fiat garages/accident repair garages around scunthorpe?

thats what i was thinking... i have a picture im tryin to uplaod but my computer is slow... it looks worse than it is and so far ive bee quoted £400 for the repairs without the subframe/chassis work if its needed? so far i no i need a new tyre, new lower suspension arm, wing, and a new headlight/indicator! and thanks to the recovery guys that thought they cud tie a rope to the wheel and drag it across my driveway theres sumthing now coming from the wheel which has unnatached from under the car somewhere? il upload pictures as soon as i can! dont really want to scrap it because ive jst had the head gasket done!!

this is 2 photos i have of the damage? whats the part in the top picture because i dont no what it is?

i hit the bollard doing about 30 i think.. i had just finished a night shift at work and came out the car park.. guy i was following managed to avoid the bollards and i clipped the one in the middle of the road! if i scrap it how much wud it cost to put my engine in a sei/cing or another punto?

that's major damage the front chassis leg is bent in so would need to be put on a jig chassis leg replaced or straitened and repaired new wing atached suspension fixed i wouldn't be surprised if the sub frame is bent or at least he mountings for the bottom arm on it straitining sup frame suspension mounts is out of the question it's a safety issue

the part in the top pick is the drive shaft

it's only held in place because the wheel and gearbox cannot come far enough apart for it to escape it's not damaged but will need a new grease boot

your best option is to buy a punto cheap with a blown engine or gearbox and use yours in it

you could do the work yourself or have a garage do it but providing you get both cars to a garage it may cost you 3 to 400 for the swap

pluss the cost for moving the cars

and wile the engines out it's worth fitting a new clutch to it to save later work for the price of a clutch it's worth doing

Dont go near Stoneacre! They are the worst sales and service for cars I have ever come across. When I was looking to buy a car I found the salesmen cocky, rude and big headed. Thats why my partner, Sarah ended up buying from Hartwell and bought a Citroen! But I ended up buying from Perrys in Aylesbury who beat their price on 1.3 diesel panda by over a grand new!
Needless to say I've heard plenty of horror stories about the place when it comes to service and came on the receiving end of it when they scratched the paint on my rear bumper last week and now wont do anything about it. They are arrogant and have no idea about customer service. Go to Jordans in Hull or anywhere other than Stoneacre. They can't be trusted.
