Downloads for everyone!

Our downloads library has always been somewhat mischievous, with loads of people always getting the "Token Error" message.
Well, I'm pleased to say the whole system has now been replaced with a much more robust and reliable one.
What I've also done is create a category now for every model, as well as allowing uploading!
So - if you have a manual, guide or something else useful you want to share with your fellow model owners, simply upload it to the new downloads library.

OOPS! AN ERROR HAS OCCURED. Sorry me hearties, there be pirates in these waters and they've scuppered me vessel.
Best try again in a few minutes. In the meantime, flog ye olde cabin boy and have some more rum.
Error Code: 503.1
So, please, give me instructions to fix this problem and to have readible EPER spare parts catalogue.

Posted 27-01-2015 at 11:33 by GCurt - Hi , this is my first attempt at helping anyone. I should say first off that I am not a mechanic but have just had the same problem solved by an AA roadside mechanic after my Punto would not allow the gearstick to move in any direction into gear. This problem was not really affected by the cold weather as it happened in different conditions. It started off by being difficult to select reverse gear over a few weeks until one night it would not allow me to get out of reverse. The next day it worked OK and I drove it for a few more weeks until the final problem that resulted in the breakdown being called. The AA man tried the gear lever then observed that my cables were seized with rust and then proceeded to remove the ends of the cables and grease and forcibly move the inner wire, making the gear lever move up n down and then across when he cleaned the other (upper)cable. The lower cable controls gears 1 to 4 and the upper cable 5th and reverse. I suppose its like a bike gear or brake cable being cleaned but I hadn't thought of that myself. The gear changes are now smooth but I suppose I should have the cables replaced. I hope this is of help to anyone else with a similar issue and gives them somewhere to start.
