Unfortunately can't chip my car despite superchips web site, blast you Hitachi for not unlocking your chip. Lol.
However I was very interested to know what output my B was, all very well adding nice shiny exhausts and fancy air filters if no benefit.
Took my car to WGT in Middlewich to test on their dyno machine. Was asked what the manufacture claimed was the output, and was told that I would be lucky to achieve the claimed 130 BHP on a car 19 years old with 1190000 miles on the clock, and to expect 115-120BHP if I'm lucky.
Well I'm luck, 6000revs showed a 127BHP, so well happy.

Hi Dave M,
looking at the graph it appears that there it is not worth exceeding 6000rpm and the best fuel use is at 2500rpm. So no need to hit the rev limiter. I usually cruise at the 4000rpm on the motorway and most minor roads about 2200. However, the barchetta appears to bring out the speed devil in other drivers on the road or perhaps I am driving too sedately.

Gareth, pleased I am, although I had sort of wanted a remap disappointed that I can't have one, I was told I could have an independent ECU wired in but at £500 + fitting + vat, I think I will pass on that idea.
Steve,I think the Barchetta brings out the devil in me sometimes, the the tester explained the my fuel was on the rich side through all of the reve range, and that if I had a programmable ECU that could have been leaned out, however running rich is no bad thing,

It may not be worth exceeding 6000rpm in terms of power, but the way the engine note hardens into a snarl as you approach the red line is simply glorious!
