It is time to start my own thread as i regularly experience problems that need some attention and i don't want to hijack other threads. :D

first i will introduce you to my B show you how i got it and how it is today. Not many touch-ups since i'm fan of the original look.

Here are some befores and afters:

I got it on a very good price and it had the engine reconstructed on 70.000KM with new variator (unfortunately the older version), a new mohair hood and Supersprint Full exhaust system. It had Red leather interior, electric mirrors and windows but No ABS.

It had destroyed air induction system so i bought it from barchettaparts and i added a Green performande air filter.

Also i changed the cassette player and the speakers with a Pioneer system with USB interface and at the same time i changed the front & rear badges, i put a lockable fuel cap and a new gear knob

Now it has 99000KM and i'm preparing for a general service (spark plugs, oil and gas filter etc)

The current situation is:

The car is at the garage and tommorow i will change all the brake hoses. One or two of them are ruined causing the B to turn right when i press the brake pedal and the front left brake remains closed for a few seconds after i remove my foot of the pedal. Let's hope it is not being caused by another bigger problem

Also i have a dead battery because of the aftermarket alarm it had installed. if the alarm triggers it causes the side lights back and front to remain ON. if that happens over night, the battery is being drained to zero point. that's what happened again now.

I'm thinking of removing the alarm completely so i will have my head calm.

With regards to you brakes, you could have a sticking piston in the caliper. Your car looks great original, thats the way I like them.

Ad.

Brake hoses changed and it's like a new car.

The mechanic said that the situation with the old ones was sooo bad that when he unpluged the hose from the brake, the fluid did not spill. IT STUCK IN THE HOSE!!!!?!?!??
:D :p :D

another problem occured. the doors do not lock when i turn the key from the drivers side. i checked the forum and i saw that 2-3 of you had the same issue.

now i locked the car from the passengers side or else it wouldn't lock at all..

damn my luck. :bang:

Edit: Silicone spray did the work. works perfectly again :)

every day something new happens with this car. if i didn't like it so much i would kick it in the face (front bumper) :D

Just added new low beam lights.

Actually it's Philip's diamond vision H1 bulps. I will keep them until i return from my business trip to Hong Kong and then i will install Xenon HID ( I hope i will find a decent one there) to the low beam and the Diamond Visions will move to the headlights.

here's a photo how they look.

I have a strange problem with my b.

Most of the times i start the engine, it runs ok. If the engine accidentaly stops (for eg if i release the clutch to soon) or if i turn off the engine and then try to start up again IT DOESEN'T start.

the ingition runs ok but it doesen't start. Sometimes if i slightly turn the key backwards while i have it to AVV and it does start. sometimes not at all. then i have to leave it for about half an hour and then it will probably start.

what's going on?

plus i have the issue that the battery slowly decharges by itselt. maybe my aftermarket alarm mulfunctions and drains the battery slowly or maybe it's something else that i don't know.

any ideas?
