The mods, respray and lack of stickers etc will probably make it worth less, still looks quite nice in the photos, anyone know what those seats are from?

Re: 1990 Blue Sisley 1200 cc [H688 AOD]

There wasn't a 1200 Uno engine

There was the 999cc Fire as per the Panda, 1108 or 1116 ones, then they went to 1301 and 1372cc iirc. None would be (correctly) described as 1200?

Anyone ID it? Looks Fireish to me.......

It may not surprise anyone who follows these threads, but it's still a 999cc on the DVLA database!

Its a FIRE, probably a 1108 from an Uno or a 1242 from a Punto with the original Panda head on it.

I guess it will go for quite a bit....but for me not being what it should be means I would have no interest in it.

It's not an all out modded 4x4 like camel was and it's not an original Sisley.

interesting..
a few mods.. lots of extra wiring inside has been changed.. light switch looks a bit bodged.. no clock? metal switch plate on dash fabric tube.

Seats look like they are from another Fiat. (if you look on the seat belt clasp it says Fiat..)

Stole my idea! filled the gear stick numbers and Sisley steering wheel center badge with tire wall paint. looks good though >_<

looks very visually pleasing!

and with that 1.2 8v engine i would guess it has some nice power to go with it.

plastic cambelt cover is from 1242ccm engine, also dipstick and there is no mechanic petrol pump on the head, like in my trekking{no hole for the pump pulley},then it is 1242ccm.

He's now corrected the listing, it is a Punto 1242cc engine.

Still registered as a 999cc which isn't legal, so new owner is going to have to faf with re-registration, and not sure if that involves proving where the donor engine comes from or not?

That's a really good point... -- and assuming that the DVLA have frelled up Hal's registration, will I have to do anything to correct it...?

When I organized the insurance, the car came up everywhere as an 1108 cc Selecta: so I think I'm covered on that point....

Just call them, no doubt they'll then say you need to write in with the V5C enclosed for them to update

Re: 1990 Blue Sisley 1200 cc [H688 AOD]

This post 1990 Blue Sisley 1200 cc raises a lot of questions, which I would be interested in opening a discussion on.

We have Wheeler Dealers, Counting Cars, Graveyard Carz, Texas Car Wars etc etc on our TV screens all turning neglected, some would say (s)crap cars back to life, with the odd change of true identity.
Bigger engine, better brakes, non original paint job, donor panels, etc

I totally agree with the statements below about its questionable authenticity that would affect its value.

I agree with Panda 1408.... Mods, respray, lack of stickers
I agree with Palio... wrong engine
I agree with Purple Haze .but for me not being what it should be...

But what makes any of us on the forum any different?
Vern turning out superb workmanship and IMPROVING the breed in the process.
Dragon Man giving a new lease of life to the rotten
Others saving Mk1s

Surely the end result is another car saved, and providing it isn't just a poor bodge job because they are appreciating in value so be it .

Perfection and purity in a 23 year old Fiat is a very rare commodity especially on Ebay.

Dave
