That one in Stanley is not for the faint hearted, I'd say there is a lot of work there to be done. If the top has that much tin worm, whats the underneath like.

That's kind of my quandry, Sisley is probably worth saving but if I go for it I've no way got space to either store or fix it so I'd be breaking it. Seems a shame.

What spares would you want off it Andrew? I'm sure we could sort something to strip and split it :)

Just a thought

You like a challenge as a starter eh. Fixing up?
Feel free to stop by if you're up to get it, not far from me at all. Love to see what I missed. (I've got a drivers door;) Tatty but better than that one!)

Well done Turbo Pip and welcome.

My first panda ARG went to your neck of the woods, it's still on the road as well. I keep checking it's reg every now and again.

I'm sure you will have a lot of fun doing it.

Thanks guys
I always fancied one and yes i like a bit of a challenge
Firstcar_y10 2 marbella doors are included so should be ok
No it wont be stripped for parts it will be restored and put back on road before summer
Hopefully!:)

easy mate, my cars restoration thread may be helpful for you.. like you i bought a sisley and it needed some work. i did loads of video logs showing some of the things i did.
seat marbella doors fit the car a dream, you just have to change the bottom hinge for the one on the panda door.. you dont have to take the hinge from out of the car in fact.

anyway, you did well there mate.. when i got my sisley i had no idea what i was buying (condition wise), the car and no paperwork all but a v5 and i didnt even know what it looked like inside. besides the ebay listing pictures i was buying blind.

still, i was happy when i first got it and i am happy with it now!

heh its nice to have all those spares.. i stripped my whole suspension system down, de-rusted and re-painted it all. if the stuff on your car can be cleaned up and saved i recommend it. that way you will have loads of spares should you need them in future.

oh and another bit of helpful advice:
best stock up on welding supplies... you'll need them (y):D

Good luck with the resto...(y)

Take the offer of a standard door (it is the holy grail of offers) and maybe look for another. Marbella doors will keep the rain out, but won't look right. (sorry John, don't mean to disrespect your setup.. but he has an offer of one door.)
