Well, it's finally time to sell the Croma, the company Zafira Tourer has arrived and the old girl's on ebay, here if anyone's after a 2.4. I'd just like to say long may the Croma section of the Fiat Forum continue, it's one of the more civilized and useful ones out there. (Unless of course that has changed recently, I haven't been on here for a while )

May your alternators keep working and your banana arms be play-free :D

Well best of luck. That Zafira Tourer looks proper lovely - you'll have to let us know if it's any good, as it's a natural replacement for the Croma.

Your Croma looks pretty good too. You should get a decent price for that.

I for one will be sorry to see you go. Thanks again for all of your help and advice over the years.

Hope you get a decent price for it.

And too few capital letters and exclamation marks.

It does look smart though. I like the false boot floor. I made one myself out of OSB and covered it with a charcoal grey carpet but the proper one looks much better.

The Zafira Tourer is good, the ride is better than the Croma and the boot's better too. Steering is good. However, the visibility is worse, the seats are harder, and four cylinders / 165BHP are never going to match five cylinders / 200BHP ;)

Strangely, the gearbox on the Zafira seems more indecisive than the Croma. So, plus and minus points all round. What a shame a 2.2 200BHP S-Max wasn't on my company car list though, I have a feeling it would be a lot more fun :D. As a works van, the Zafira Tourer is good, I've done over 5000 miles in two months and we're getting along well. Shame it sounds like a Taxi (n)

As for people doing an HPI check, they can send me a message asking for it, I'll have their details as well then ;)

Best of luck with the Zafira, I borrowed one a couple of years ago and quite liked it apart from getting nicked for speeding. I expect the new version of the Zafira is better than the previous one though, my only criticism was it felt very cheap interior trim wise, the Croma being far superior. Sorry to see you go  but I will be joining the ex Croma owners club myself in the next 12 months.
I have not decided what to replace it with but would not be averse to another Fiat.

Lindsay, I see you have a bid, but look him up, he has had 11 bid retractions in the last 6 months, may be nothing wrong, but worth investigating.
I bought a camera a few weeks ago, and was bidding against someone who had 48 retractions, he was bidding on a lot of different cameras, and thought this is how it is done. Your bidder has bids on 4 cars, presumably to retract at least 3.
Best wishes with company car, hope they pay for all your motoring.

Good luck fella, hope you wont be too long before your back on here to say hello and how you are missing us ;-)

Wow, Keith, never had you figured for a cyber-stalker :D

In all seriousness, I'm not too fussed if the chap in question pulls out, one bidder is enough for me and if this one retracts, I'm optimistic that one of the other watchers (not saying how many ;)) will step up. If it doesn't sell this time, there's always next week...(y)

Thanks for the kind words.

I agree about the ordinary Zafira however the new Tourer version is a big step up and (on my SE version anyway) is a very pleasant place to be. Materials are as good or better than the Croma Prestigio and the design is well thought out. I was very pleasantly surprised and, being GM, it all seems familiar with an orange LED display...oh, and the stereo is the best I've ever had in 25 years of motoring :D

If I remember (and that's not guaranteed as I seem to have frequent CRAFT moments) then I'll come back every so often to let you know how the Zafira Tourer is doing so you can decide whether to get one when you leave the Croma Club :D

In all seriousness, I've got this one for four years and anticipate doing between 100 and 120K in that time, so it should be a fair test...
