Today, I opened my BCM. Unfortunately it is not compatible with Euro stalk switch that I wanted to install. My Car's BCM D switch has 36 pins only, rather 60 pins. :bang:

So, my imported stalk switch has become wasted. :cry:

Hello Raaj,

This is Sanket from Goa. I was stumbled upon your post while searching for a tutorial on how to enable Cruise Control using OEM Combination switch like how you intend to do.

I drive a 2015 Abarth Punto Evo and was quite interested in adding some of the features which come in Linea 125S here (CC, Rain Sensing Wiper, Auto Headlamp etc). I was wondering now if you were able to get the CC to work on your Abarth Urban Cross?

Cheers!
Sanket

Hello Sanket,

Sorry for the late reply as I was little busy. Nice to know about you. You may please PM me/email me to get in touch more.

Yes, I had installed Cruise Control in my Urban Cross Abarth. But, Eurospec combination switch wasn't compatible with Indian Abarths as they had installed Linea body computer with 36 pins instead of updated 60 pin one. So, I had imported Alfa147 stalk and get it fitted in my car.

You may please go through my Cruise instillation thread in TeamBhp in the following link. My nick is Wildy there

Hi Sanket,

had a look on your very interesting DIY tutorial on Teambhp (I even Registered ;-) and am wondering if you still have the Fiat stalk &#8 230; If so, could you figure out how the CC switches are combined (with resistors) to communicate with the BCM with two wires only, one being the ground (pin #10 ) common to others stalk switches and the signal being @ pin #8 &#8 230; ??

So far I never had 100% confirmation of how it works: the circuit 'should' de open or show some resistance when switch is set to OFF, and show other resistance when in ON, Resume, Increase or Decrease position. E-Learn even give the resistance values that should be read, but it's on the Fiat Examiner and I'm not sure it works exactly the same way as a multimeter set directly to the stalk would, since the electrical drawing doesn't mean anything with the given résistances, eg: the circuit is still open when the CC switch is set to ON while eLearn gives 2480 ohms as the value :-(
This is needed to build a poorman's stalk to check CC upgradability on my car before spending a little fortune on that stalk &#8 230;

Thanks in advance, regards, Bernie
