Ok only had the car end of April lovin it.
I tried it out in 4x4 mode the other day. Question is it stopped In first until over 4000 rpm before changing up? tired again using manual which was a better but not brilliant. Quite jerky gear changes not smooth like in 2 wheel drive.
Checked the manual no mention of what to expect when using 4x4 ie use only manual mode.
Anyone got info or experience of how the 4x4 mode should perform?

Hi
We've a cross plus 170 bhp since beginning of May this year. First thing in morning, in auto mode(D), sport or auto, reluctant to change up. Equates to 20 mph in 1st. When it does change, jerky but then goes D2 - D3 - D4 etc, always starting in D2 in auto. I also find that I doesn't change into 9th. At 60 mph and above, if I switch to using the paddles, I can force it into 9th, at a little over 1500 rpm. But arrow pointing shift down appears.... And then only changes down as normal.

Not got my auto into 9th gear yet. Apart from the first mile or so when cold being a bit rough and slow to change seems a good engine and gearbox combination. Tried 4x4 on a wet field and worked well at low speed, did get jumpy when revs increased but it's not a Land Rover. Felt the rear wheels kick in on a dry gravel track.

In auto mode it changes up and down real smooth even from cold. Also goes into 9th at around 58mph no trouble.
It's only when I select the 4x4 mode gear changes seem weird?
