Hi, while checking front near-side tyre in a confined space, I had cause to suddenly stand up, and deftly removed the wing mirror from its arm - BUGGER.
Visited my local friendly dealer who was sympathetic in reporting a replacement cost of £230 - BUGGER. Cheaper cos I don't need to spray the cover

Apparently a spring is gone. Went back to look & no trace. Does anyone have a cheaper solution please?
I have currently managed to drill some holes in the remains of the bottom stem, run some coated wire thru them and thru a hole drilled in the bottom of the arm to keep it wobbly but in place.
