After some advice. My daughter has just bought a '59 plate 500 pop. The central locking works fine from the lever or with key in the lock. But there is an issue with the key fob.
It unlocks fine but will not lock. When you press the lock button you can hear a buzz coming from around the driver's door area.. (lights flash)
Seems to me the key works and as the central locking all works it's just something specific to the unlock .... been looking for a decent system diagram but cant find anything :(

All help appreciated! :)

Welcome,, sounds like an issue with the servo on the lock assembly, will have to wait for others to reply, Typecastboy could be of help here?
You may find you'll need the spanners out to keep the car in good order, our 59 plate has had considerable number of parts replacing.

You’ll have to take the door card off, get a torch in there and see what’s going on. Worst case it needs a new lock. Easy to change and cheap to buy second hand.

Have a look at the rods, I’m assuming they are connected as it wouldn’t lock with the key so it’s most likely an electrical issue.
