Instrument Panel having a party

Hi apologies of I've posted this in the wrong area.
I'd appreciate some help and advice on the following.
I have a 2010 500 pop with an instrument cluster which has stopped working.
Everything was fine when i parked up at the shops yesterday. Got back in to find that the digital speedo/instrument panel appears to be dead (no display).
The only light that shows is for the headlights.

The odd thing is that when the door is open only the milage (which has stopped recording) and the time shows in the centre ring. Other than that nothing!

I've checked all the fuses which appear fine.
Des anyone have any suggestions please?
Thanks
Ben

Thanks for your quick response and help GPz750, i'll ask there.

Re: Instrument Panel having a party

Sounds like something (damp?) has affected the integrity of the electrics within your speedo/display unit.

A new unit from a breakers perhaps?

Does the ecu hold the mileage info rather than the speedo which simply displays it?

There are companies - similar to the one you have been referred to - who can repair your unit.

My sympathies with you - your problem is hard to ignore, to put it mildly!

Thanks for your replies.
snes The unit has stopped clocking up the milage bt displayed it at 72244 last night but at 72243 this morning following a trip to Halfords!

Zanes It's gotit's original (2010) battery - not had any reason to change it (yet)

Ill try this again as some power hungry idiot deleted it the last time. Cant say 100% if your problem is the clocks but if you find that it is the try dash tec
http://www.mileagecorrectionleeds.com/test/Contact.php to get them fixed. They did my stilo for £120, saying that you could go down the 2nd hand route. It does seem odd though as it went just like that with no warning as my clocks gradually got worse before giving up the ghost.

Power hungry idiot?? Charming.

I think you may find it was possibly moved or deleted along with the original post because the OP has put this in the wrong section after already posting the same question in the correct section.

In fact here is your response which stands.

I'm having the same problem on my Fiat 500 2011 0.9 Lounge.

How was yours resolved?

The digital speedo/instrument panel appears to be dead (no display).
The only light that shows is for the headlights.

Oddly, when the door is opened, the mileage and time shows in the centre ring. Other than that nothing! When I shut the door it goes off again.

Thanks John, I'll read your link.

I should mention that the indicator stem is silent when indicating.

The only electrical thing I did recently was to remove the original radio, as the code was stuck.
