I had the same dilemma. In the end I decided on Gelato White, not only because it was better for advertising on but it is just nice and crisp and I thought it may age better. Love to hear what you do end up going for as they are both really nice colours. Will keep you all updated on what happens this end as well.fingers crossed the dealer is actually being honest for once and the car does arrive as expected. still not sure whether to go with the red or white but will definitely keep you all updated : decisions, decisions!
Thanks ;-)
The state is Victoria. Sounds like you are getting a bit messed around too. I am positive Fiat have lost numerous sales as I know people that have looked elsewhere now. Still, I guess they have also sold stacks too so I suppose they are happy. You weren't fussed on colour either were you? And still nothing.....
Good luck with it.
That is very kind of you to do that ;-) & helpful. I wanted a white car to advertise on but a Sol Yellow became available and so I am going to work with that as the next best colour. I signed up for it 2 days ago and was told it will arrive at the end of this month, so that is when I have organised for the plates etc. to be ready by and then I got a call today to say it's arrived!!! YAYYY! So exciting, but I can't get it until the personalised plates arrive.....end of the month! At least I know it's here ;-)Yeh its making things a bit difficult
I'm new to Fiat as well. I had a little look around, in case I could help and found these in VIC. Not sure if it helps but thought it might anyway.

I'll say it again, I don't get why people don't just go in an order what they like?
Half of the beauty of the 500 is that there are different options and you can have it just how you like it.
You're probably look at least a 4 or 4.5 month lead time, but you'll get what you want and you'll know that you're going to get what you want
The option to factory order was never put forth to me, even when I asked about options. I suppose if you pushed, they'd do it, but they seem to want to avoid the hastle.
I think that was Atteco's strategy, price through the roof, let the customer place an order and wait in the interest of exclusivity. Fiat Chrysler are chasing more of a volume market (even if they have a funny way of showing it), with more stock purchases. The option to factory order was never put forth to me, even when I asked about options. I suppose if you pushed, they'd do it, but they seem to want to avoid the hastle.
It turns out that I'm really happy with UFI's spec, but would have popped for full leather trim, and would have gone with manual AC and no S/S probably (for the weight saving).
To all people waiting for cars on order, be aware that if the dollar drops (like it has), the dealer can charge you more for your car as per the fine print on the back of your contract.
I might be getting a 1.2 Panda DL when they come here.
Leather? I get a sweaty enough arse here in the UK in the "summer"! It would be intolerable in Perth!
