General Head restraints

I think you're right, though on the other hand with the set-up I have my head doesn't actually touch the headrest.

It must be high enough up to be effective of course. I've seen some sickening X Rays of the effects of whiplash where the headrests were set too low.

As Twinair Newbie says, you're head isn't actually meant to touch them with your head whilst driving, they're meant to save you from whiplash.

Head restraint.

Hi there, wondered if anyone else thinks the front head restraints on the 500 are very hard. I have a 2010 Pop with standard seats. Thanks.

You could but a cover on the head restraint. Several advertised on ebay with the title 'Fiat 500 Head Rest Cover Many Colour to Pick Brand New'

Cars are not supposed to have seat covers. If you dont want them to get dirty i guess you can always cover them in plastic like when you first get the car. = )

The covers look great, I will look out for them.

I remember PJ saying that he had a 'look' for them on-line but couldn't find them (I think it was around the 'chocolate' incident). Some of the Italian sites are not as slick as the UK ones for buying on-line. I would suggest sending an email to see if there's a dealer in Italy that you can drop into when you're there.

My thoughts on the Houndstooth fabric is that you just have to live with it and get in regularly cleaned. At least it wears well and doesn't get 'scratched'. I liked the head restraint covers.
