I just hopped in the car and its not well. Suddenly very jerky. It revs, then hesitates then shudders and stalls. The engine light is permanently on as is the warning light for the asr. I've shut her off and disconnected the battery. I'll let her sit for 12-20 mins before starting again in case she's just got confused somewhere in the electrics.

While she's off I've checked all the oil and fluids and they're all fine. The manual says that the engine light on is a fault with the injectors and that you can drive the car normally, not putting any high load on it. But it warns to take it to a Fiat dealer as soon as possible. This happened completely out of the blue. Anyone else experienced this? It's a 1.4 lounge spec model.

cheers
Jason

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. The manual says its fine to drive as long as you don't unduly stress the engine. But driving it sounds like all kinds of bad to me. I'll leave her in the work car park tonight and arrange for the AA to tow her to Glyn Hopkins at St Albans tomorrow or Sunday. Most annoying what with this being a long weekend.
